Reporting to the Team Leader or Foreman any hazards on site.
Care for own Health & Safety and that of fellow workers.
Grass cutting and strimming.
Tree felling.
Hedgerow clearance.
Ditch clearance.
Pond management.
Use of pesticides.
- All staff must behave professionally at all times.
- Health and Safety is an integral part of Egis and thus machinery and equipment must be kept in good working condition and any faults reported as per Company policy
- Ensure daily driver checks are undertaken on any vehicle before commencing network activity
- Complete appropriate paperwork relative to the task and ensure that the records are passed onto your Team Leader.
- Keep lorries and vans clean and tidy
- Ensure that PPE is kept clean and in good condition
- Ensure that near misses and hazards are reported promptly.
- Actively participate in briefings and training to enable all duties to be carried out safely and sustainably.
- You must attend all training arranged for you by the Company.
- Actively participate in encouraging a positive attitude towards health, safety, and the environment.
Job Details:
- You will be required to work a 42-hour week.
Working hours would be Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00 and Friday 07:00 – 15:30 with occasional night work as and when required. - You will receive 26 days holiday per year as well as bank holidays.
- The hourly wage is £13.67.
- There is an additional £100 per week when working on a standby rota for emergency tree works.
- PPE will be provided.
- You will be entered into the company pension scheme.
