As a BIM Manager you will take the leading key role in setting and implementing the design and delivery process as well as an important role in the implementation of the project execution strategy, ensuring all BIM outputs are produced to a high standard.
The BIM Manager is part of the Engineering Directorate and is accountable for BIM implementation on every project, as well as line management responsibilities for the Modelling Team.
Key Responsibilities:
This role may also include working on projects internationally for EGIS Transport Solutions or other EGIS subsidiaries.
Key experience
• BIM Manager / Senior Technician with at least 10 years' experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects
• Proven capability in managing design interfaces, integration processes and defining a projects Digital Strategy
• Experience of working in an engineering production environment
• A railway, transportation or construction background
• A clear understanding of our multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stage gates
• Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL
• Experience of Implementing BIM Level 2 Accreditation / Certification to ISO 19650 within a Business Environment
• Track record of mobilizing teams to ISO19650 on project kick offs
• Experience producing and maintaining BEPs, Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDT)
• Excellent understanding of all relevant BIM standards, design integration procedures and relevant legislation
• Experience of using:
- Bentley ProjectWise
- Bentley MicroStation
- Bentley Signal Sighting
- Bentley OpenRail Designer
- Bentley OpenBuilding Designer
- Synchro
- REVIT
- Civil 3D
- Navisworks
- TopoDOT and/or other similar software
• Knowledge of Dynamo/similar, and ability to write scripts
• Experience of working in a Project Coordination role
• Excellent leadership skills and mentoring experience
• An ability to train and upskill team members
• Ability to use modelling and analytical tools to demonstrate reduction and/or elimination of health and safety risks in the design process
• Experience of supporting the organisation to build and grow successfully
