Le poste

VINCI Construction GeoInfrastructure is a leading player in the construction of large-scale infrastructure in France and abroad. SPIECAPAG carries out complex onshore pipeline projects and associated infrastructure such as pumping and metering stations, water supply networks and mineral transport networks.
Both companies are part of VINCI Construction's Major Projects Division.
Reporting to the Legal Director of the Shared Services Centre dedicated to these 2 areas, the future International Contracts Lawyer will be responsible for providing close support to the operational teams of VINCI Construction GeoInfrastructure, SPIECAPAG and their subsidiaries in the context of commercial development and worksites on Major Infrastructure Projects, in France and internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a genuine business partner to operational staff, your main tasks and commitments are as follows:
Drafting and negotiating grouping agreements (JVs, Consortium Agreements, GMEs, SEP agreements), service provision contracts, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, MOUs, etc., in the context of invitations to tender in France and abroad.
Produce risk analyses for Construction or Design & Build contracts (ad hoc EPC, Design & Build and/or FIDIC/NEC/CCAG contracts).
Preparing and participating in tender closing committees
Participating in the drafting/revision of standard contracts (standard NDA models, purchase agreements, subcontracts, etc.)
Acting as an interface with contract managers and/or lawyers in the event of pre-litigation and litigation.
Training operational teams and raising their awareness of the legal issues relating to their activity
Participating, in coordination with the Finance Department, in the creation of legal structures abroad (subsidiaries, branches)
And more generally, supporting operational teams and management in their decision-making by identifying and assessing legal risks, and formulating proposals and recommendations.
You have a solid university degree in international business law, supplemented by a common law course abroad (US/UK LLM) and/or additional training in public law in France.
You will have around 7-10 years' experience in a major international industrial group, ideally in the public works/oil and gas/engineering sector, or in a leading business law firm (lawyer or solicitor).
You will be a self-starter and rigorous, with a reputation for being a good listener and open-minded.
You have good interpersonal skills, are dynamic and able to adapt to an international environment.
Fluency in written and spoken French and English is essential. Fluency in a third language (Spanish or German) would be an additional advantage.
Occasional travel abroad is to be expected. Possibility of teleworking 2 days a week.
