Le poste

We are seeking a Project Technical Director to lead the technical execution of low-carbon and green hydrogen plant projects.


You will be assigned to specific projects and will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects, including engineering documentation, plant design, construction, and commissioning.


 


This role requires strong multidisciplinary coordination skills, a deep understanding of constructability, and a commitment to technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.


 


Key Responsibilities


 


Project Leadership & Allocation


 


Act as the technical authority for assigned hydrogen projects.
Lead and coordinate internal and external engineering teams across all disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and project objectives.



Technical Expertise


 


Proactively propose technical optimizations and value engineering.
Conduct technology watch on hydrogen equipment, particularly electrolyzers.
Define and commit to performance guarantees.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of intellectual property considerations.
Engineering Documentation Oversight


Ensure review and validation of engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, datasheets, etc;.).
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.


 


Constructability & Technical Execution


 


Provide input on constructability and construction sequencing.
Collaborate with construction teams to optimize design for execution.
Anticipate and resolve technical challenges during design and construction phases.


 



Stakeholder Engagement


Interface with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure technical clarity and alignment.
Support procurement and contracting strategies with technical input.
Represent the technical function in project reviews and decision-making forums.


 


Quality & Safety


 


Promote a culture of technical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and support safe construction and operation.


Required Qualifications


Education: Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.


Experience: Minimum 15 years in the oil & gas, chemicals, hydrogen, or similar sectors.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in plant design, engineering coordination, and constructability.
Languages: Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
