Key Responsibilities: the following but not limited to:


  • Be responsible for undertaking, environmental assessments report for feasibility study and detailed engineering study of roads projects.
  • Carry out environmental site surveys, inspections and measurements as required.
  • Prepare professional consultancy reports and presentation independently.
  • Coordinate with members of the project team, clients, and government departments.
  • Perform site investigations as required and evaluate best Environmental Management Practices for road works, erosion/sedimentation control, construction waste management (Earth works), Biodiversity Management, etc.
  • Identifying potential Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessment (HSEIA) Design, environmental issues and Construction risks and taking the necessary measures to deal with them quickly and effectively.





  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science and management, or other relevant disciplines. Master's degree or above is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of practical international experience in environmental assessment works
  • Minimum of 15 years' overall experience. Minimum of 10 years in environmental impact assessments of transport projects.
  • Experience in preparing and documenting environmental aspects of construction projects to meet ADB's Safeguards Policy Statement is an advantage.
  • Experience in projects in developing countries funded by international financing institutions is essential.
  • Experience in Papua New Guinea or other developing countries in the Pacific is an advantage.
